Registration Overview

Early registration for lowisa 58 is now open

To register for the regatta, please complete and submit the applicable registration forms and payments below. Note there are separate registration forms/fees for (1) Boats and (2) Individual Participants:

  1. LOWISA 58 Boat Registration Form

  2. LOWISA 58 Participant Registration Form

In addition to Boat registration, all skippers, crew members, support crew, team managers, guests & other attendees must be registered as Participants for the event.

Additional event information is available in the LOWISA 58 Notice of Race. More details will be shared with participants by e-mail leading up to the event. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to saillowisa@gmail.com with any questions in the meantime.

race formats

Upon registration, all competing boats should indicate their preferred racing format. Each format will have its own start/finish line & race course:

Traditional Racing Divisions (~18-22 miles/day): This format is recommended for experienced racing boats committed to longer days on the water. The Traditional Racing Divisions will start each race with a series of 5-minute start sequences. Actual start divisions will be assigned after registration closes.

Pursuit Racing Divisions (~11-14 miles/day): This format is recommended for participants who are new to racing, or competitors looking to sail a shorter course each day. Pursuit racers are assigned staggered start times based on competitors’ ratings (which can make for an exciting race to the finish when all boats are meant to cross around the same time!) Actual start times will be assigned after registration closes.

Reduced fees are available for non-racing boats (e.g., cruising & support boats).

LOWISA x SAIL MANITOBA

To be eligible for scoring, a Boat’s Representative must be a member in good-standing of a sailing club or organization recognized by the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) or the US Sailing Association. Sail Manitoba memberships can be added on the LOWISA 58 Boat Registration Form as needed.

Competitors may be required to present proof of membership upon request. A membership card is the normal method of proof and can be requested from your home club in advance of the event.
